Hedge Fund Business Analyst

Hillair Capital makes fundamental investments in small-cap and micro-cap, growing publicly traded companies by creating and acquiring custom structured products via private placements.  The fund’s investment objectives are to ensure capital preservation and offer a base return independent of market direction while seeking further appreciation from favorable market conditions, the performance of portfolio companies, or both.

Hillair Capital is located in downtown Burlingame, California (outside of San Francisco), and is looking for a Business Analyst to join the growing firm. 

Responsibilities for the Business Analyst position include:

• Working directly with the principals of the firm on investment transactions
• Acting as one of the main contributors to a variety of investment oriented activities, including financial projections, valuation, etc. 
• Detailed information gathering and analysis to support due diligence

Requirements for the position include:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2-5 years of Business Analyst experience with top-tier firm (Consulting, Investment Bank, Hedge Fund, Private Equity, etc.)
• Exceptional analytic skills, including building and reviewing financial models
• Eligibility for work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future
• Outgoing, extroverted, with superior communication skills
• Proven team player who can collaborate and get things done
